The cottage stands on a hillside on the Craigston Estate commanding some of the best views through 180 degrees over Hillsborough Bay to the south and Union Island to the north. The Craigston Estate is a former lime plantation now run as a farm with trees and meadows bordering a peaceful section of Carriacou's west coast.(see location 1 on the map of Carriacou )

Palm Trees is mainly of wooden construction with polished Caribbean hardwood floors. Folding doors from the open-plan living/dining/kitchen area give access onto the spacious porches and when the wide window shutters are opened too you are almost living out of doors, in constant cooling breezes. There is a well equipped kitchen in a tiled galley corner and a shower room with vanity sink and toilet. A 4'6" (1.4m) fold-down futon sofa bed provides sleeping accommodation for two people. The master bedroom has a 5'0" double bed and ensuite shower, toilet & vanity sink. There is a small second bedroom with a 3' single bed.

  • Outside laundry area with deep sink.
  • About 10 minutes' walk through trees to daytime bus service to town.
  • 5 minutes' walk down track and steps to near deserted sandy beach.
  • 10 minutes' walk to cove beach.
  • Local tour boats to out-islands pick up from beach below cottage.
  • Jeep rental recommended but not essential.
