A charming, colorful and spacious villa with a newly built, very private plunge pool and sun deck set in a delightful tropical garden. Sleeps 2/4 from $185 to $160 per night. Designed to catch the cooling trade winds in every room and maximise the views, even when in bed, Driftwood is a most delightful villa located on the Craigston Estate, a former lime plantation now run as a farm with trees and meadows bordering a peaceful section of Carriacou’s west coast. The house was designed to make the most of outdoor living and has a unique "New Zealand" room on the first floor. This is a covered wooden room open to the cooling breezes where you can snooze in a hammock, while a way the afternoon with a good book or watch out for a green flash at sunset.(see location 1 on the map of Carriacou )

Accommodation:
This two storey villa has verandas to the front and rear and underneath the New Zealand room is a covered seating/dining area. In fact there are so many places to sit you could choose a different one for every day of the week! The open plan kitchen/dining/living area has double wooden doors leading to the verandas and window shutters which open wide. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, full stove and all you need to cater for 4 persons. The bedroom, on the first floor, has a locally made cedar four poster bed with mosquito net and privacy curtain if you wish to leave the double doors to the front and back open. The ensuite bathroom must be one of the largest and most colourful on the island, with hot water shower, toilet with a view and vanity basin. The second bedroom is a self-contained unit with ensuite bathroom on the ground floor. It is accessed from the first floor veranda by steps to the front and rear. Air-conditioning for this room is optional.
